About us

The objective of the project “Por Terras do Lince-Ibérico” is to enhance Vale do Guadiana, aiming to increase the tourist attractiveness of the only national territory where the presence of the Iberian lynx can be observed in the wild (lynx pardinus).

This is an initiative promoted by ADPM – Associação de Defesa do Património de Mértola (a Heritage Protection Association), which is co-financed by Tourism of Portugal in partnership with the Parish Councils of Alcaria Ruiva and São João dos Caldeireiros, and with the support of the City Hall of Mértola, the City Hall of Serpa and of the ICNF – Institute for Nature Conservation – to who we express our gratitude for your collaboration in the provision of information and multimedia content.
